For a while, I didn’t let myself paint. I thought it was a hobby… something to do on a rainy day. When my mom was dying, I re-discovered this passion.

Last year at Art All Night @ Artworks in Trenton, NJ, I sold a painting that I worked on over the course of my mom’s illness & finished after her death. I had been asked by my dear mother figure & friend, Lori, to submit something in June 2009. My original intention was to just get something in the gallery since I had missed the year before. I was terribly disappointed when I wasn’t able to do anything. I was at my mom’s bedside pretty much day and night for many months and I wasn’t able to do any submitting other than paperwork to hospitals.  I was happily surprised when the red (sold!) dot appeared on the bottom right hand corner of painting.

I am submitting again this year. And in preparation for it, I finally have a way to sell my work online – http://www.LisaASnyder.com

If you buy something from me in the month of June (there’s half a month left!) I will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Ashinaga Non-Profit who provides educational and emotional support for orphans worldwide. This includes those effected by the tsunami in Japan this year.

Here are the first 6 paintings that I am selling on my new online store.
