Lisa A. Snyder - Flower fields

Me in the Tulip Fields @ The Keukenhof. Lisse, Netherlands. A life dream I can now cross off the “to do in life” list.

Grief cracked me open. Psychedelic healing helped me transform.

Now I help others do the same.

Hi, I’m Lisa.

I lost both of my parents to cancer before I turned 30. My dad passed away from Hodgkin’s Disease Lymphoma in October 2004, the day before my 23rd birthday. My mom passed away five years later, in June 2009, from AML (Leukemia), when I was just 27. I was by their sides through every moment—through the hospitals, the family complexities, and the sacred work of helping each of them prepare to leave this life.

After they died, I was left in pieces. I created LosingYourParents.com to process my grief and help others do the same. Writing, art, and shared stories became a lifeline—for me, and for many others navigating the pain of losing a parent.

My Intention

My intention with this work has always been to connect those of us who have lost our mothers, our fathers, or both parents—at any age—through art, writing, and a focus on the positive, even in the face of deep sorrow.

Losing your parents might mean death, illness, divorce, separation, being adopted, never knowing your birth parents, or being cut off from them because of your sexuality or life choices.
No matter how your loss looks, it leaves a mark—and you don’t have to carry it alone.

The Path That Found Me

Over time, my grief journey led me deeper. I began working with emotional intelligence, somatic healing, and eventually, psychedelics. These experiences offered me a powerful new way to understand myself, my pain, and the world around me.

Psychedelic medicine, especially psilocybin, became a profound part of my healing. It helped me reconnect to my parents in a spiritual sense, to feel love again, and to come home to myself. That led me to become a licensed facilitator in Oregon through InnerTrek, so I could support others in these transformative experiences.

What I Do Now

I offer trauma-informed psychedelic preparation, legal psilocybin sessions, and integration support for people who are grieving, awakening, unraveling—or just feeling ready for deeper healing.

My work centers around:

  • Grief as a doorway to healing

  • Psychedelics as a tool for emotional and spiritual reconnection

  • Holding sacred space for transformation, without judgment

You don’t need to have recently lost a parent to work with me. Many of my clients are navigating big questions, changes, or long-held emotional pain. If you’re feeling called, I’m here.

A Bit More About Me

I’m always working on understanding how to live—and keep living—as best I can, without my parents here in the physical world. I aim to live a healthy, creative, art-filled, adventurous life, while helping others navigate the day-to-day and the big-picture questions of existence.

In 2015, I founded Tokeativity, the Global Cannabis Community for women.

I now focus on working with individuals and groups who are exploring personal transformation, psychedelic healing, and emotional liberation.
