My cousin posted this video yesterday of a woman named Jacqui Saldana, who got a surprise call to go up on stage with Ellen at her show. I learned this woman had lost her 3 year old son, Ryan Cruz, in May. He had gotten hit by a truck while playing Frisbee. I learned that she was always scared to be a mom, which I often feel, not yet being a mom and having to make the extra effort to make that happen, being in a relationship with a woman.
When her son was born, she started a blog called Baby Boy Bakery, a blog about her passion for baking. It’s now turned into a grieving blog. I appreciate her honesty and how even though she has a hard time getting out of bed sometimes and that the holidays are difficult, she still finds ways of “living loud & wild everyday.”
